ASM Global has an immediate opening at Canada Games Park for
a Facility SupervisorReporting to the Operations Manager this position if a key member of the department that oversees all facility & operational duties consistent with ASM Global at Canada Games Park.

Position Summary_

Responsible for the daily activities required to run, maintain, and service the facility and its events by performing the following essential duties personally or through subordinate workers.

Coordinating maintenance schedules and projects with operators, part time operations, administration, and event team members as well as occasionally supervising overnight facility maintenance or setups.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities_

  • Prepares weekly work schedules, assigns personnel and equipment, and determines materials required to perform necessary tasks. Ensures tasks are completed.
  • Provides direct front line supervision and is responsible for providing operational work assignments, guidance, discipline and performance evaluations for staff.
  • Scheduling, planning, and evaluating work according to facility priorities.
  • Motivate, train, and evaluate Operations personnel and equipment.
  • Oversee and perform p maintenance, event setup, building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general repairs and custodial duties.
  • To function in a leadership/supervisory capacity, supervising and coordinating activities of part time facility operations personnel.
  • Utilization of event booking software to plan, book and execute building rentals.
  • Investigate, analyze and resolve operational issues.
  • Ensures all corporate policies, procedures, and quality standards are met and maintained.
  • Perform building opening and closing procedures; assist in providing facility security and ensuring procedures are followed in the event of evacuation, fire alarms, injuries, etc.
  • Perform minor repairs, plan operational improvements.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of goals and opportunities for the department.
  • Monitor and report on the refrigeration plant in accordance with TSSA legal requirements.
  • Monitor building systems and report on their function accordingly.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements_

  • Secondary school graduate.
  • Ice resurfacing experience.
  • Must possess valid Ontario class "G" driver's license.
  • Minimum of 2 years related work experience an asset.
  • Previous Experience in a similar facility is an asset.
  • Building Automation Systems experience is an asset.
  • Ability to do heavy lifting and ability to work at heights.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with tools and maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to develop good rapport with management, tenants, fellow employees and the general public.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and to handle multiple projects simultaneously, working under tight deadlines.
  • Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.
  • Some basic computer skills, including recreation booking software and MS Office
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and as a team member.
