Otter is looking for a full-time Project Manager that is passionate about energy and sustainability.


JOB SUMMARY:

As a Project Manager, you will work closely with the Engineering, Operations, and Sales teams. This is a vital role that will focus on multiple areas within the organization.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will maintain an open line of communication with several internal and external stakeholders and will be responsible for multiple aspects of the design phases.

You will also oversee process management, including administration, data management, and coordinating the post-sale processes.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Coordinate with the sales manager and sales team to ensure all pending customers have been contacted and prepared to move forth
  • Assist with coordinating postsale to preinstallation process
  • Follow up and review designs to address customers' concerns surrounding power, design, roofing, and/or electrical issues
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients and internal departments as well as the structural engineer, utility companies, and municipalities as required
  • Lead meetings to update various teams on project schedules, status, and closeout
  • Liaise with accounting regarding invoices for projects and service calls
  • Monitor project progress and address any internal and/or external issues that may arise
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and communicate project status to all participants
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports, including project folders
  • Ensure standards and requirements are met by conducting quality assurance tests
  • Coordinate Structural and/or Electrical Engineers for projects and organize their completed reports for building permit submissions
  • Complete and submit building permit submission packages and follow up to ensure permits have been attained
  • Work closely with the Operations team to ensure the project has been completed including monitoring and any additional postinstallation details
  • Support the Director of Operations with task management on the residential and commercial side of the business.
  • Schedule site visits and additional duties as required

  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings, and plans

  • Highly effective conflict resolutions skills
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:


  • Completion of a University Degree or College Diploma in Management, Engineering, or Business
  • 3+ years of solar experience or a demonstrated understanding of the solar industry is a must
  • Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal workplace compliance regulations, ordinances, and legislation
  • Valid Ontario driver's license & vehicle is MANDATORY
  • Prior experience with AutoCAD, HelioScope, Solargraph, and Solaredge
  • First Aid skills and/or certificates are considered assets
  • Working at Heights certificate an asset
