Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Support clients' Cloud adoption strategy
  • Build, and mature client monitoring capabilities for onpremises and cloud environments
  • Assist with Change, Problem, and Incident lookbacks to optimize and tune system monitoring capabilities
  • Build selfhealing capabilities using automation
  • Optimize alerting and monitoring to identify predictive maintenance requirements
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to understand their unique monitoring goals and objectives
  • Design dashboards to provide metrics which supports client system uptime and availability reporting goals
  • Tune alerting and monitoring to ensure false positives are minimized
  • Manage continuous monitoring, maintenance, and management of all cloud infrastructure and data centre components
  • Work with team members to improve monitoring capabilities and standardized practices through continued service improvement
  • Prepare written technical documents and roadmaps in support of client system monitoring technologies
  • Understand trends and challenges in his/her area of expertise
  • Follow ITIL best practice approaches, client policies, standards, and procedures

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Qualifications:


  • Progressive experience managing enterprise systems monitoring, working with Cloud technologies and Data Center services
  • Significant experience in the following areas:
  • Administration of SolarWinds Orion
  • Administration of Orion DPA
  • Administration of Azure Monitor
  • Monitoring Cloud Infrastructure in Azure
  • Monitoring Data Center and IaaS workloads
  • Monitoring of Virtualization technologies (VMWare)
  • Significant experience in the following areas:
  • Monitoring Azure PaaS and SaaS offerings
  • Building selfhealing capabilities and automation
  • IT infrastructure management automation techniques and/or platforms
  • Experience with scripting techniques (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
  • Excellent experience working with vendors and managed service providers
  • Experience with monitoring containerized solutions is considered an asset
