General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling Victoria area employees, ensuring employee suitability meets our client's needs
  • Work closely with our Victoria Branch Manager to ensure effective delivery of security services to our clients
  • Assist Victoria Branch Manager by hiring and training employees
  • Establish and maintain strong employee relationships
  • The ability to listen to employees and assist in meeting their needs
  • Effectively onboard new employees and support them through their employment with Footprints
  • Outside of the box thinking to solve issues and schedule effectively
  • Resolving scheduling conflicts in a timely and cost effective manner
  • Managing employee schedules and accommodating special requests
  • Provide guidance, and support of regional employees including assisting with recruitment, coordinating training, providing corrective and disciplinary support
  • Support employees by ensuring that they understand client expectations when scheduled at new sites
  • Proactively manage team members with a focus on employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention
  • Work effectively with other departments, demonstrating strong administrative
  • Maintain a solid understanding of Employment Standards and payroll practices, policies, and procedures
  • Manage employee leaves and time off requests and plan effective staff backfill
  • Be responsible for forecasting staffing needs and the associated budget impact, mitigate overtime spending
  • Prepare, maintain, and distribute various reports both internally and externally
  • Understand company file systems, operational equipment and uniform inventories
  • Manage multiple simultaneous and competing priorities effectively and efficiently, within mínimal supervision.
  • Complete data entry of confidential information in a timely and accurate manner
  • Followup with and act as a liaison with various individuals, both internally and externally, at all levels of the organization with the highest level of customer service
  • Assistance with the onboarding process for field employees using an Applicant Tracking system (ATS)
  • Provide support and coverage to other roles within in the organization
  • Other administrative duties as required

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 Years of Security industry experience
  • In office position
  • Min 35 years of experience scheduling 100+ persons
  • Valid BC Security Worker's License
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License
  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration or equivalent preffered
  • Minimum of 35 years experience in an operational environment; supervisory or management experience in the security industry an asset
  • Possess sound judgement and decisionmaking skills, with a 'hands on' approach to problem solving; strong conflict resolution skills required
  • Remains calm under pressure and takes control of incidents
  • Must have strong leadership, social interaction, and organizational skills; proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
  • Possess strong knowledge of security procedures and scheduling
  • Must work well under strict timelines and possess the ability to manage multiple simultaneous priorities
  • Fluent in English. Bilingual or multilingual is an asset
  • Be highly proficient in MS Office
  • Ability to work within a scheduling database
