Position Overview

We are seeking a Regional General Manager to oversee our Basecamp Resorts, our Northwinds by Basecamp and our Basecamp Suites (Opening spring 2024) locations in the breathtaking Revelstoke region.

As the Regional General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering unparalleled guest experiences, leading dedicated teams, and ensuring the smooth operations of our guest services, housekeeping, and maintenance departments.

Key Responsibilities
Human Resources

  • Promote the Basecamp Brand.
  • Work with People & Culture department to recruit skilled staff for guest services, housekeeping, and maintenance departments.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, growth, and employee satisfaction.
  • Conduct 3month probationary reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for career development.
  • Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and maintain open lines of communication.
  • Ensure all incidents are correctly reported in a timely manner.
Revenue, Financials & Inventory

  • Work closely with the Revenue team and the VP of Operations to ensure revenue optimization.
  • Ensure accuracy regarding rate management and payment processing.
  • Manage inventory levels of supplies, amenities, and equipment to support seamless operations.
  • Identify costsaving opportunities and implement efficient resource allocation.
  • Provide monthly financial outlooks including labour and expense forecasts.
  • Conduct monthly inventory counts of all supplies and consumables.
  • Ensure all incidentals are posted correctly.
Operations

  • Ensure guest services meet or exceed established standards, enhancing guest satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Coordinate housekeeping efforts to maintain impeccable cleanliness and aesthetics throughout both locations.
  • Oversee maintenance operations, ensuring that facilities are wellmaintained, safe, and functional.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline operations and maintain consistency.
  • Address guest concerns and/or complaints and ensure the appropriate resolution steps are being followed.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the hospitality industry.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in team development, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping and maintenance best practices to ensure the locations physical and aesthetic appeal.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows
  • Outlook, Excel, Word.
  • Profound understanding of labour and expense management.
  • Negative criminal record check.
