This Chefs job is a very rare day job with full benefits, good pay and a flexible schedule. We currently have a full team in place and are looking for a smooth transition.

As our Corporate Chef, your responsibilities are as follows but are not limited to:
To manage & oversee all of the culinary operations

Lead the kitchen teams in two separate kitchens - our main kitchen in Langley and our Commissary kitchen in Abbotsford

All ordering & product procurement for the kitchens

Oversee fresh & frozen food preparation for retail sales with existing recipes & create new ones

Coordinate & oversee fresh food preparation & quality control for retail and catering with our Pastry Chef

Plan menus & execute our weekly take home meal program

Create & execute new menu items for our fridges and freezers.

Delegate production schedules

Create seasonal catering menus at least one season in advance

Execute catering orders & events in conjunction with the catering manager & kitchen team

Maintain and build new & existing supplier relationships

Hire & train all kitchen staff. Conduct staff performance reviews and support the team in all aspects of their roles.

Ensure kitchens are properly cleaned & stocked and that ALL proper food safety, health and sanitation standards are being followed.

The Commissary Kitchen:
Manage staff, time and work load - ensure the staff are engaged and part of the team. Ensuring continuity between kitchens is critical.

Oversee food quality and consistency

Assist the team with ordering and product procurement - oversee & control food costs & labour expenses

Encourage and foster creativity & menu item development.

We provide an excellent work environment in a well established business with a strong, complete team already in place. You will need your own vehicle to commute between kitchens a couple of times per week.

Salary:
$60,594.00-$63,181.00 per year
