PTW is hiring a VALVE TECHNICIAN or TRAINEE to join our team in Ft. McMurray, AB If you are a experienced Valve Technician or eager to learn to service and test valves and are local to the area, we want you on our team

GOOD TO KNOW:


  • Experienced Valve Technician or Trainee/Entry Level
  • Monday to Friday
  • 7:30am4:30pm with occasional overtime & weekends
  • Location: 175 MacDonald Cres Fort McMurray AB
  • At times may be required to accompany staff to area sites for short term work onsite (mob/demob to shop each day normally, travel with crew & paid travel time)

  • Preaccess Drug and Alcohol test may be required to obtain site access

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • With guidance or direct supervision depending on qualifications/skills: Disassemble, Inspect, Repair, Assemble & Test Valves
  • Assist in basic warehouse duties of shipping/receiving material (valves)
  • Cleaning & organizing shop areas
  • Operate overhead cranes & fork lift (will provide training)
  • Painting

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Electrical or Instrumentation 1'st or 2'nd year apprentices (not required but an asset)
  • Previous valve or actuation servicing experience
  • Able to lift up to 40lbs periodically
  • Knowledge of how to properly use basic power & hand tools
  • Experience working on site
  • Must be reliable and dependable (i

punctual and ready to work)


REQUIREMENTS

  • A valid Class 5 driver's license is required
  • CSA Steel Toe Boots
