Job Description:

This role supports Tech & Services by deploying Operational Excellence across all divisions and corporate functional areas throughout Canada.

This will be accomplished through effective leadership, coaching, influencing, hands-on support, training and partnering with operations and functional leaders at all levels within the Corporation.

This role will be instrumental in driving cultural change across the Company and support the divisional leaders in achieving sustainable business results while supporting operational excellence capabilities across the organization.


How You'll Make an Impact:


On Site Operational Excellence Review (80%)

  • Review current business performance for a specific site and/or function
  • Leverage Lean, Six Sigma and Change management methodologies to identify improvement opportunities and work with stakeholders to estimate business impact.
  • Facilitate the development of improvement plans, and ensure buyin from operations using data, facts, and root cause analysis.
  • Develop custom tools, where applicable, to help site/function better manage the process
  • Prepare project report & review with business leaders on Go/No Go &
  • Work with financial team to define metrics & methodologies to validate financial impact for each project.
  • Monitor improvement progress monthly and escalate where necessary
  • Work with process owners and Information Technology (IT) resources to make data available to process owners and process improvement projects.

Other Hands On Support (20%)

  • Support Operational Excellence program development and may lead/facilitate such training.
  • Assist in strategic data analysis/modeling & update business leaders on key insights. For example, inflation impact analysis, new business model financial simulation, business dashboard design, Merger & Acquisition, etc.
  • Provide contract analysis & bidding support for RFP's and contract rebid.
  • Support Tech & Services as required with specific operational issues related to personnel, capabilities, processes, services, etc.
  • May participate in technical and statistical expertise to teams to enhance quality of products and services.

Qualifications:


What You'll Need to Succeed:


  • Post-Secondary degree in Engineering, Finance or Business Operations
  • 5 years of hands on Six Sigma/Kaizen/Lean practicing is preferred
  • Strong knowledge in data cubing & statistical data analysis & data intelligence mining
  • Expert in using Excel, Visio, and MINITAB or equivalent data analysis tool
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required
  • 20% overnight travel required
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or above is preferred
  • Bilingual in French & English is an asset
