Your mission at Smith Cameron is to ensure that you are organizing all incoming new equipment, cleaning and testing all used equipment, and supporting our field team.

You support all field activities for equipment performance and quality.

You will also provide ongoing support and contribute to the wellness, health, and safety of Flowmetrix people from a field level/onsite approach.

To be successful in this role you must be easy to approach and speak to. You put in the extra effort to ensure the team is functioning at a high level. You are sensitive to the interpersonal anxieties of others and build rapport well. You are considered a good listener and respect the differing opinions of your team.


About the Role:


  • Organize all equipment and shop supplies.
  • Provide support to the Field Services Supervisor.
  • Sign out/in equipment for field crews.
  • Coordinate and update inventory database.
  • Daytoday product inventory
  • Daytoday tool inventory
  • Monthly product inventory
  • Report inventory levels to Field Services Supervisor
  • Purchase tools and shop supplies to maintain adequate inventory levels.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in shop.
  • Coordinate shipping/receiving point of contact for orders.
  • Coordinate with uniform service provider for field technicians.
  • Provide support to the Field Services Team with respect to ongoing projects.
  • Perform equipment verification/ calibration in flow laboratory.
  • Occasional delivery and pick up of equipment/ supplies.
  • Additional tasks as assigned.

Required Experience and Skills:


  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
  • Comfortable using power and hand tools.
  • WHMIS, confined space entry, working at heights, traffic control and first aid certifications are considered an asset.
  • Solid grounding in instrument and/or electrical fundamentals.
  • Experience in environmental monitoring field is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of equipment and fleet management systems is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with Flow Monitoring Equipment is an asset.
