    Due to continuing growth, we are seeking an Engineer Assistant with experience and interest in surface water resources for our GTA, Ontario, Canada offices.

    This position will provide the opportunity to join our innovative, supportive, and dynamic Integrated Water Management (IWM) group. You will be working on a variety of infrastructure projects for both public and private clients within the field of surface water resources, which includes hydrologic and hydraulic assessments, water quality assessments, transportation drainage design, site level stormwater management design, green infrastructure, environmental sampling and monitoring field work, asset management and assessments, and construction administration and inspection.

    Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior team members in a range of multi-disciplinary projects for stormwater management, highway/road/rail drainage, and flood mitigation
  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modelling and analyses
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines for integrated design
  • Prepare water resource design reports, drawings, construction specifications and permit applications
  • Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and subcontractors
  • 1-3 years of experience in hydrologic/hydraulic modelling, stormwater management analysis and design, bridge/culvert hydraulic assessment, flood management, and drainage design
  • Experience in Low Impact Development/Green Infrastructure design is considered an asset.
  • Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering (Civil or Environmental)
  • Master of Applied Science or Master of Engineering in Water Resources is considered as asset.
  • Strong technical report writing and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modelling software and the Microsoft suite, as well as expeience with GIS and AutoCAD Civil3D
  • Class G Driver's License
