Friends of Ruby is dedicated to the journey and well-being of 2SLGBTQIA+ youth, aged 16-29 through mental health services, social services, and housing.
The Centre provides access to barrier-free counselling and therapeutic groups, case management and a drop-in space with hot meals, community, and comprehensive programming.
The Home provides transitional and emergency housing, as well as mental health and life-skills to support youth moving towards independent living.

Position Summary
The Project Coordinator will join the Direct Marketing and Development team and will play an integral role in supporting the team's fundraising goals by leading project management cross-functionally across the organization for the coordination, planning and fulfillment of all grant and major funding projects on-time and in budget.
Responsibilities
- Build project management guidelines to meet requirements of individual grants and funding projects
- Capabilities to develop project budgets for funding grants and opportunities
- Coordinate crossfunctional responsibilities for funding fulfillment across development, finance, program, measurement, evaluation and IT teams
- Work closely with grant coordinator and development team to develop grant content for successful funding outcomes
- Organize and schedule project meetings with internal and/or external stakeholders as needed for project outcomes
- Maintain SharePoint database for grant and funding projects, to ensure all records and necessary documents are coordinated with funding projects for perpetuity
- Ability to utilize donor database software (Micharity) and CRM databases for grant tracking
- Coordination with M&C team for grant and funding recognition and stewardship
- Work crossfunctionally with program and outcomes and measurement teams to support crossagency commitment to Management Based Care (MBC)
- Project management coordination through project management software (i.e., MS Projects)
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of project management or organizational administrative experience
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong capabilities with software including project management and CRM software
- Successful track record in organizing work across diverse teams
- Ability to meet stipulated timelines and work within budget guidelines
- Demonstrated ability to interact and lead with empathy and emotional intelligence
- Proven ability to work in crossfunctional teams to support grant budget, content, strategies, and reporting requirements
- Proven ability to multitask in a busy environment, to work well under the pressure of deadlines, and to prioritize tasks appropriately while meeting time sensitive demands
- Experience working for a social service/mental health/or housing nonprofit
- Knowledge or lived experience with the diversity of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community
- Experience working with a diverse team and promoting a positive brand image
Additional Requirements
- Satisfactory clearance under the Vulnerable Sector Police Check Program
- Must be qualified to legally work in Canada
- Willing to work onsite at our Friends of Ruby office located in downtown Toronto
- Willing to work on a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the organization, working evenings on occasions
- Ability to travel to other communitybased settings as needed
