About the role


As a Manager, Operations & Data Compliance, you will be responsible to draw upon your communications and business experience to manage and develop the work product (processes, frameworks, plans, documents, etc.) and support the modernization of CDIC's reimbursement process and technology (T+0), engagement of standby partners and testing efforts that support processes and frameworks to ensure readiness.

This role can be performed from our Ottawa or Toronto offices, following a hybrid model approach. This is a full-time temporary opportunity (12 months). #LI-Hybrid


We trust you will be up to the challenge

  • Crisis and communications planning and research to improve various processes and frameworks.
  • Development of approaches relating to the production and consumption of financial information disseminated in various formats including voice, electronic or paper to nonfinancial experts.
  • Author and maintain information repositories (knowledge bases) for handling queries from the public in the event of a crisis.
  • Relationship management with key service providers, including contract management and training.
  • Coordinate and participate in various simulation and testing exercises, documentation and/or planning, including with external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and liaise with the Communications and Public Affairs team on MI and depositor messaging.
  • Participate in various Proofs of Concepts, process and technology evaluation and implementation related to depositor and stakeholder communications.
  • Backup to Director, as required.
  • Other duties as assigned to augment overall preparedness, particularly with respect to deposit insurance payouts and crisis communications.

  • Demonstrated crisis and communications planning expertise.
  • Superior writing and research skills
  • Thorough knowledge/insight of customer response and experience with payment and/or banking products and technology
  • Financial acumen
  • Wellhoned relationship and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, as needed
  • Rollup your sleeves attitude

We trust you will bring your expertise

  • An undergraduate or graduate degree in commerce.
  • 57 years' experience in a crown corporation or government agency
  • Periodic travel may be required and the ability to work long or irregular hours.

Assets Include:

  • Customer relationship management system knowledge
  • Commerce or communications background
  • Marketing or consumer research
  • Advanced desktop skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

Must have

Language Requirements:
BBB (bilingualism in French & English, intermediate level)

Security Clearance:
Eligibility to obtain a Secret level security clearance
