POSITION TITLE:
Housekeeping Supervisor

Description:

Reporting to the Housekeeper Manager, the Housekeeping Supervisor is to assist Management in the operation of the housekeeping department and ensures all hotel areas are cleaned to the highest standard to create guest satisfaction.

Duties:

Verify guest room status is communicated to the Front Desk in an efficient manner.
Inspect guest rooms and common areas for cleanliness and organization on a daily basis.
Organize listing of rooms to be cleaned and prospective checkouts in order to prepare work assignments.
Ensure all inventory is maintained and adequate ordering of additional supplies.
Oversee the Housekeeping team to ensure members have proper supplies and are following proper techniques to complete their section in an efficient and timely manner.
Assist the Housekeeping Manager in the training and coaching of housekeeping employees as required.
Ensure all equipment is well maintained and report any issues to Maintenance.
Prepare the employee schedule based on occupancy and approve hours by the deadline provided.
Send employees home or call them off shift as required in order to stay in line with budgeted wage cost.
Follow all policies and standards and make sure team members are in compliance.
Ensure correct chemicals are being ordered and used appropriately to meet Health & Safety requirements.
Work as a team with the other hotel departments to provide coordination of services for guest satisfaction.
Follow all safety procedures as per uptodate company standards and training modules and ensure a safe work environment for all team members and guests at all times.
Other duties as assigned by Management.
