We are looking for a Paralegal/ Legal Assistant to prepare and manage legal documents, negotiate legal agreements, assist with internal legal issues, advise employees, conduct legal research, and assist with licensing compliance.

We are looking for a
Paralegal/ Legal Assistant to prepare and manage legal documents, negotiate legal agreements, assist with internal legal issues, advise employees, conduct legal research, and assist with licensing compliance.
What You'll Do:
- Review, analyze and draft contracts
- Identify legal issues;
- Prepare letters with letterhead;
- Review, correct and create legal documents for financing or other purposes;
- Provide administrative support and manage communications
- Manage company books, resolution, scan, certificate;
- Manage, review and negotiate the company's legal agreements with 3rd parties, NDAs;
- Advise on internal legal situations e.g. with employees;
- Research, create documentation and assist in the implementation of internal best practices on legal issues such as Francisation or employment contracts, internal policies, employee benefits, code of conduct, third party software use policies;
- Supervision and support to the internal employee who manages our lender and credit licenses;
- Legal research;
- Legal research for finance and technology related products.
What You'll Be Bringing to The Team:
- University degree in paralegal studies (or appropriate discipline) or law degree ;
- 6 or more years of relevant experience in a business or law firm;
- Commissioner of Oaths or Notary Public (or equivalent);
- Strong organizational skills in filing, scanning and managing legal documents;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and DocuSign for preparation of legal documents and letters;
- Ability to review, edit and create legal documents related to financial transactions;
- Ability to follow up with other staff and third parties regarding financing transactions;
- Experience reviewing and negotiating legal and confidentiality agreements with third parties;
- Knowledge of employment law and internal policies to provide legal advice to employees;
- Ability to conduct and present legal research on various issues related to product development and internal best practices;
- You can work independently, have strong interpersonal and oral communication skills, exercise sound judgment, are resourceful, and have experience with legal research methods and interpretation of legal language;
- You are proficient in French;
