Unit Summary

The Department of Diagnostic Imaging supports a high volume of diverse adult and pediatric patients and families, providing service within Radiology, CT Scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Pet Scan and Ultrasound.

Position Summary

As a member of the healthcare team, the Registered X-Ray Technologist coordinates, performs and evaluates diagnostic imaging examinations within the specific discipline, provides patient-care to meet the clients' needs and guides/directs clinical and technical associates, follows "Standards of Practice" as outlined from the College of Medical Radiation Technologists and performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement with ingenuity and initiative to apply and prescribe ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.

Qualifications
Registered Technologist
Member in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists in Ontario (CMRITO)
Registered with CAMRT
Minimum 2 years hospital experience preferred
Previous CT experience preferred
CT Imaging Certificate preferred.
