We operate in Southern Ontario and are currently seeking _
Security Guards_ for special events and building security in the Toronto areas.

This is a temporary position but can lead to casual, part-time or possible full-time work. Pay rate will be negotiated based on experience.

Qualifications

Valid Ontario Security License
Valid First Aid/CPR
Valid Smart Serve Certificate
Postsecondary education in business or law enforcement studies an asset

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure Safety and Security: Protect the event venue, all attendees, staff, and valuable assets by implementing effective security measures to prevent any incidents or disruptions. This includes monitoring entrances and exits, checking guest credentials, and maintaining a visible presence
Access Control: Implement access control methods such as checking invitations, managing guest lists, and ensuring only authorized personnel have entry to restricted areas. Prevent unauthorized access, theft, or vandalism
Pat Downs and

Bag Searches:

Conduct pat downs and bag searches on individuals entering the event venue when necessary, using professional and respectful techniques.

Adhere to company policies and local laws regarding search procedures, ensuring the safety of all attendees by preventing the entry of prohibited items or weapons.

Maintain the confidentiality and privacy of individuals during pat downs and bag searches. Provide clear and concise instructions to guests regarding search procedures to ensure a smooth and efficient process

Communication and Collaboration: Maintain effective communication with event organizers, staff, and other security personnel. Coordinate efforts, share information, and respond promptly to any requests or incidents
Emergency Preparedness: Be knowledgeable about emergency procedures, including evacuation plans, fire safety regulations, and first aid protocols. Respond quickly and appropriately to any emergencies or incidents
Crowd Management: Maintain crowd control and resolve any conflicts or disturbances that may arise during the event. This involves being observant, responding calmly to issues, and deescalating tense situations
Alcohol Monitoring: Keep a watchful eye on alcohol consumption, intervening if necessary to ensure guests do not become intoxicated and maintain a safe and enjoyable atmosphere. Enforce legal age restrictions and crowd behaviour policies regarding alcohol consumption
Report Writing: Accurately document any incidents, disturbances, or relevant information that occur during the event, completing incident reports for organizational records and legal purposes
