    Tasks:

    • Estimate amount and costs of supplies and food items
    • Estimate labour costs
    • Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
    • Analyze operating costs and other data
    • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff
    • Supervise activities of kitchen workers
    • Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, and presentation of food
    • Prepare and cook meals for events
    • Supervise kitchen staff
    • Requisition food and supplies
    • Arrange equipment purchases and repairs
    • Plan menus and ensure food quality
    • Prepare dishes for customers with specific dietary needs
    • Recruit and train staff
    • Ensure food safety standards
    • Knowledge of culinary genres

    Supervision:

    • 3-4 team members
