Overview


The Vice-President Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure has overall responsibility for the full lifecycle planning, design, implementation, and sustainment of all cloud and on-premises solutions.

The Vice-President IT Infrastructure collaborates with other technology teams and business customers to achieve this responsibility.


The Vice-President IT Infrastructure proactively serves as a trusted advisor, and key point of contact for business stakeholders related to the technology enablement and security of QuadReal's operations.

They represent IT to the business by promoting the IT vision, values, services, and capabilities.

The Vice-President also advocates on behalf of business stakeholders to ensure enterprise architecture, integration and cyber security satisfy their key business priorities and needs.

Core Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of and advance the IT Infrastructure Strategy, facilitate the right level of influence in the organization to ensure alignment and adoption. Work with functional heads and other key stakeholders to implement strategy. Manage the daytoday operations of the company's infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, and security systems.
  • Lead the selection, implementation, and maintenance of technology infrastructure systems and tools.
  • Ensure the technology systems of the company remain stable, secure, and capable of scaling, by working in conjunction with the Enterprise Architecture and Cybersecurity teams.
  • Oversee enterprise disaster recovery and IT business continuity planning and testing.
  • Collaborate with other departments and business units to understand their technology requirements and ensure that infrastructure systems meet those needs.
  • Develop and manage budgets for infrastructure operations, ensuring costeffectiveness, return on investment and adherence to budget. Pays particular attention to consumptionbased costs and creates transparency around these costs.
  • Stay up to date on the latest technology trends and advancements, and proactively make recommendations for technology infrastructure upgrades and improvements. Keeps IT and key business leaders up to date on all infrastructure matters.
  • Plays a stewardship role overseeing the health of the entire infrastructure portfolio and seeks opportunities to standardize solutions wherever possible, and leverages existing tools, assets, and resources before seeking new solutions.
  • Collaborates with enterprise architecture function to help them define network, cloud, Microsoft, and other related architectures.
  • Enhances QuadReal's thirdparty vendor and partner relationship ecosystem, includes sourcing and negotiating service agreements with qualified vendor's, managing ongoing vendor performance, and working with vendors to proactively drive greater value and synergies through all vendor relationships.
  • Manages the resolution of any escalated production incidents/ problems.
  • Creates and fosters a "customer centric" culture in all infrastructure team interactions.
  • Champions organizational change management activities (training and communication) related to infrastructure activities.
  • Acts as a mentor and coach to the infrastructure team and guides the building of tailored development plans for all team members, focusing on both soft and hard technical skills development.
  • Promotes effective teamwork and manages the resolution of interpersonal issues.
  • Leads successionplanning with team members and works with CTO to develop a succession plan.
  • Collaborates with the Cybersecurity team to ensure that security incidents are investigated and resolved as well as determining the causes of security violations and implement controls to prevent future incidents and to improve QuadReal's overall security posture.
  • Ensure that there is compliance with QuadReal's security policies and standards, and that all compliance regulations are met.
  • Maintain knowledge of the information security industry including awareness of new or revised security solutions, improved security processes and the development of new attacks and threat vectors.
