Position overview

Key responsibilities include:


  • Maintain and develop asset performance data to bolster long term asset management plans which includes the creation and editing of asset records, job plans, preventive maintenance records, locations, and warranty information.
  • Conducts, leads, and/or oversees focused technical and economic studies to provide insight and recommendations to senior management on asset management strategies, improvements, and costbenefit opportunities.
  • Provide technical review and guidance on operations and maintenance procedures as they pertain to assets, compliance records, risk assessments, and documentation.
  • Liaise with internal resources from ENG, OPS, FIN, MTE, and others having a wide range of business, engineering, technical and trades backgrounds to drive continuous improvement efforts as well as collaborate with primary and secondary vendors for the CMMS Maximo to resolve issues and promote improvement of the system.
  • Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics to analyze trends and areas for improvement which includes continuous improvement recommendations to management based on analysis and reporting.
  • Assess impacts and risks of project and maintenance activities to provide guidance as to operational and business impact mitigation strategies and ensure communication and change management practices are followed as well as validate, execute, and monitor incident management plans and procedures related to asset emergencies in a fastpaced and dynamic multistakeholder environment.

Key qualifications include:


  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management/Business, Information Systems or a related field with at least 4 year's recent related experience in an analytical role preferably with a focus on assets, working in an airport, municipality, postsecondary, health services, and/or industrial plant environment which are large complex facilities with a diverse mix of assets and equipment.
  • Experience in asset lifecycle development and management including definition, selection, procurement, design and installation, commissioning, maintenance, and recapitalization.
  • Excellent experience developing and reviewing engineering specifications and standards for a variety of disciplines, furthermore, expertise in conducting and facilitating field reviews and inspections as part of asset lifecycle assessments and repairs.
  • Advanced skills in working with core modules, (job plans, assets, inventory, locations, and preventive maintenance) of a CMMS, preferably Maximo, as well as advanced skills working with Microsoft Office Suite of products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, SharePoint, Power BI and experience in software and technology development related to databases (i.e., SQL), business intelligence platforms (i.e., Qlik), user interface design, and programming.
  • Demonstrates a strong mindset, experience in safety excellence, leadership and maintains a high standard of documentation, presentation, and reporting quality.
  • Sound ability to understand, interpret, and translate between business, technical needs, requirements, and ability to multitask and prioritize between conflicting needs under the guidance and direction of senior members.

Salary Range :
$72,008 to $94,115 per annum, based on 37.5 hours per week. This is individually tailored to reflect your unique experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
