Position Overview:


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Operate a 26foot straight frame delivery vehicle in a safe, courteous and efficient manner
  • Responsible for loading and unloading of orders to customer
  • Ensure accuracy in product delivery
  • Responsible for general housekeeping of the delivery truck
  • Daily circle checks, completion of logs as required as per our transportation policy and procedures manual
  • Operates lift trucks, power walkies, pump trucks, and Order Picking machine
  • Communicates with warehouse staff and Customer Account Managers
  • Reports information to the Warehouse Manager and Regional Operations Manager.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean driver abstract and reporting any incidents or accidents that occur and advising of any changes in status to your abstract or license.
  • Promptly report any delays due to breakdowns, weather or traffic conditions or other emergencies or in the event or irregularities relating to pickup of delivery or cargo
  • Maintains records for the purpose of documenting activities and providing reliable resource information
  • Verify product and accuracy with customers at locations
  • Other duties as may be assigned
What do you need?

  • Class 5 license (Class 3 or Class 1 considered an asset)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Clean Drivers Abstract
  • Forklift license is an asset
  • Specific training in shipping dangerous goods
  • Ability to handle powered machinery
  • Basic math, and ability to problem solve
