Description

Position Overview:

Duties & Responsibilities:

Operate a 26foot straight frame delivery vehicle in a safe, courteous and efficient manner
Responsible for loading and unloading of orders to customer
Ensure accuracy in product delivery
Responsible for general housekeeping of the delivery truck
Daily circle checks, completion of logs as required as per our transportation policy and procedures manual
Operates lift trucks, power walkies, pump trucks, and Order Picking machine
Communicates with warehouse staff and Customer Account Managers
Reports information to the Warehouse Manager and Regional Operations Manager.
Responsible for maintaining a clean driver abstract and reporting any incidents or accidents that occur and advising of any changes in status to your abstract or license.
Promptly report any delays due to breakdowns, weather or traffic conditions or other emergencies or in the event or irregularities relating to pickup of delivery or cargo
Maintains records for the purpose of documenting activities and providing reliable resource information
Verify product and accuracy with customers at locations
Other duties as may be assigned

What do you need?

Class 5 license (Class 3 or Class 1 considered an asset)
High School Diploma or equivalent
Clean Drivers Abstract
Forklift license is an asset
Specific training in shipping dangerous goods
Ability to handle powered machinery
Basic math, and ability to problem solve
