Shipper is required to perform some or all the following duties:
- Determine method of shipment and prepare appropriate shipping documents
- Package goods that are ready to be shipped and coordinate pick up with transport company
- Perform loading and unloading of transport trucks
- Unpack received parts and stage in appropriate area
- Verify and record quantities of items received
- Organize documentation in computer system for received and shipped goods
- Inspect all incoming goods and ensure they are received in proper condition
- Operate forklift and telehandler to load/unload trucks
- Understand and follow safe work practices and conform to company polices
- Pick up ordered parts from suppliers
- Deliver parts to customers
- Use truck and trailer to deliver and/or pickup goods
- Maintain proper communication with a C&A staff and customers
- Keeping the yard clean and in order
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Grade 12 diploma with 2 years of related experience
- Strong communication skills with supervisory staff, fellow employees, clients, customers, suppliers, vendors, and various service providers
- Strong computer skills proficient with Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets
- Capable of safely conducting the physical demands of the job
- Ability to manage time and prioritize multiple tasks
- Powered Mobile Equipment operation (Forklift/Telehandler)
- Ability to work in various environments (hot/cold)
- Current and Valid Driver's License minimum Class 5 with the ability to drive a manual transmission
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance
Pay:
$22.00-$27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
