Dining Room Assistant Manager/Floor Supervisor Position
Standard office hours with occasional morning or evening as required

Supervises Food and Beverage daily operations, and monitors compliance with all F&B policies, standards, and procedures. Assists in the ordering of F&B supplies and cleaning supplies. Supervises staffing levels to verify that guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met. Manages day-to-day operations, monitors quality and standards to meet/exceed the expectations of guests daily. Maintains the operating budget and verifies that standards and legal obligations are followed.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED; Minimum 3 years experience in the Front of House with at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
- 2year degree from an accredited school in Hotel and Restaurant Management or a Hospitality program, plus minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in front of house guest service.
Duties
Assisting in Managing Day-to-Day Operations
- Strong understanding of fine dining restaurant service and the high standards that are demanded.
- Strong wine and cocktail knowledge
- You have progressive experience within the hospitality industry; higher volume experience an asset.
- Orders Beverage supplies and monitors inventory levels.
- Supervises daily front of house shift operations and monitors compliance with all F&B policies, standards, and procedures.
- Supervises staffing levels to verify that guest service, operational needs, and financial objective are met.
- Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
- Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish team members success.
- Celebrates and fosters decisions that result in successes as well as failures.
- Communicates areas that need attention to staff and follows up to verify understanding and accomplishment.
- Coordinates cleaning program in all front of house areas, identifying trends and making recommendation for improvements.
- Maintains availability and is approachable to all team members.
- Continually demonstrates knowledge of The Inn's service culture.
Providing Exceptional Guest Service
- Provides services that are above and beyond for guest satisfaction and retention.
- Serves as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors.
- Manages daytoday operations, monitors quality, standards and meets/exceeds the expectations of the guests daily.
- Takes proactive approaches when dealing with guest concerns.
- Sets a positive example for guest relations.
- Stays readily available/approachable for all guests.
- Reviews comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees.
- Responds in a timely manner to guest requests.
Additional Responsibilities
- Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Performs hourly job function if necessary.
- Always extends professionalism and courtesy to team members.
- Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs.
