    We are currently seeking a Resident Manager 2-person team to live and work at one of our properties in Sarnia. This position would require you to live on-site and work four weekdays each week, every second weekend and on-call some evenings.

    The Opportunity

    Realstar is a leading residential property management company with over 160 properties across Canada. Our properties are clean, quiet and attract quality residents who will attest to our unique standards of service. Assistant Property Managers play an important role in the successful operation of a residential rental building under our management.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Customer service.
    • Leasing and administrative office tasks.
    • Ensure the complex and grounds are kept clean daily in accordance with company standards.
    • Training and leadership guidance of new and existing staff members.
    • Regular fire safety and life safety standard prevention.
    • Maintenance and preventative maintenance systems up to date, completing mandatory fire drills.
    • Business development and marketing responsibilities.
    • Expense control.
    • Overseeing capital expenditure projects.

    Requirements

    • Residential property management or related business experience.
    • Strong customer service and selling skills.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Management skills to coach, train, and motivate staff and develop a team environment.
    • Computer skills
    • Ability to perform minor repairs and aptitude for mechanical systems. (pumps, emergency generators, HVAC, boilers, chillers, swimming pool, sprinklers, etc.)
    • High standard of cleaning and hygienic practices
