ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR
Full-time (100%) position
Performs professional accounting work involving audit, compilation, consolidation, and analysis of
financial data.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs internal audit reviews for school locations and parent council organizations;
- Manages KEV School Cash software;
- Administers project grants, submits claims, and completes financial reporting;
- Manages the Accounting (Atrieve ERP) data system. Facilitates the implementation of new
- Assists the Secretary-Treasurer's department with budget development and audit processes;
- Supervises Accounts Payable staff;
- Assists the payroll department as required;
- Assists the FIPPA officer to ensure Division practices are compliant;
- Attends various Divisional Committee meetings;
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- CPA designation;
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience;
- Knowledge of F.R.A.M.E. and PSAB would be an asset;
- Knowledge of sales tax regulations;
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Ability to work under mínimal supervision and meet strict time deadlines;
- Ability to handle highly confidential information;
- Ability to travel to school locations within the Division and to outside organizations;
- Ability to attend evening meetings;
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable to the Division.
