ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR

Full-time (100%) position
Performs professional accounting work involving audit, compilation, consolidation, and analysis of
financial data.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Performs internal audit reviews for school locations and parent council organizations;
  • Manages KEV School Cash software;
  • Administers project grants, submits claims, and completes financial reporting;
  • Manages the Accounting (Atrieve ERP) data system. Facilitates the implementation of new
- modules or software updates;
  • Assists the Secretary-Treasurer's department with budget development and audit processes;
  • Supervises Accounts Payable staff;
  • Assists the payroll department as required;
  • Assists the FIPPA officer to ensure Division practices are compliant;
  • Attends various Divisional Committee meetings;
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • CPA designation;
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience;
  • Knowledge of F.R.A.M.E. and PSAB would be an asset;
  • Knowledge of sales tax regulations;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Ability to work under mínimal supervision and meet strict time deadlines;
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information;
  • Ability to travel to school locations within the Division and to outside organizations;
  • Ability to attend evening meetings;
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable to the Division.
