    Overview:

Crosslinx Transit Solutions (CTS) is a consortium comprised of EllisDon, SNC-Lavalin, Aecon and ACS - Dragados. CTS has been selected by Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario to deliver the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit Project and is seeking highly qualified, experienced personnel to join the team of this complex P3 design and construction project.


The Systems Field Engineering & Closeout Intern with work on-site with the construction teams, ensuring that construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instruction.

This position will get exposure working with superintendents, surveyors, and field engineers.

This position is available for a 4-6 month term.


Responsibilities:


  • Exposure to technical engineering information and plans, detail sheets and specifications for contractors/suppliers.
  • Work with station teams in identifying close out requirements including but not limited to the deficiencies resolution.
  • Coordinate inspections with designers, consultants and authorities as required by the contract.
  • Assist in the collection and preparation of closeout documentation, asset installation status and other reports to achieve substantial completion.
  • Assist in creating and distributing Systems closeout reports on weekly/biweekly bases.

Qualifications:


  • Currently enrolled in an Electrical or Telecommunication engineering program.
  • Excellent English reading and writing skills.
  • Previous experience in the construction industry is preferred but not required.
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office and scheduling software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Power BI, Smartsheet'
  • Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, database)
