A Day In The Life At Bayshore
With the support of the HR Manager and department you will be:


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Assist with the recruitment and selection of Administrative and/or Supervisory employees as directed by the Human Resources Manager.
  • Maintain Field and Administrative employee human resources files ensuring all required documentation is uptodate, including current professional registration, probationary and annual performance reviews, supervisory reports, and continuing education documentation.
  • Maintain past Field and Administrative employee human resources files in conjunction with the immediate supervisor, and ensure that final performance reviews and/or exit interviews are included.
  • Address payroll and benefitsrelated inquiries, assisting employees with form completion and clarifications.
  • Manage external requests for reference checks and verification of employment; escalate complex situations to the Human Resources Manager or immediate supervisor as needed.
  • Oversee Workers Compensation claims documentation, including filing reports and followup activities; contribute to the development of modified work programs upon request.
  • Stay informed on provincial legislation related to Employment Standards, Human Rights, Workplace Health and Safety, and Labour laws; assist in addressing potential or actual violations under the guidance of the Human Resources Manager.
  • Engage in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties. Responsible for notifying immediate Supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns. Must complete Accident Reports for all staff injuries on the job within 24 hours of the incident.
  • Support disciplinary and counseling processes for employees as directed by the Human Resources Manager.
  • Offer daytoday HR support and guidance to branch staff on employee relations matters.
  • Conduct orientation sessions for new hires, explaining HR policies, workplace practices, and benefits.
  • Coordinate training sessions and seminars to enhance employee skills and promote a positive work environment.
  • Work with management to help develop succession planning and employee development strategies.
  • Participate in performance management processes, advising managers on HR best practices while ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR initiatives that support organizational goals.
  • Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures.
  • Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company's Quality Management System.
  • Maintains confidentiality of client and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate Bayshore personnel.
  • Complete other tasks as requested.

Who You Are:


  • Post Secondary degree or diploma in human resources or industrial relations.
  • Minimum 4 years of progressive human resources experience in a fastpaced environment.
  • CPHR designation considered a strong asset.
  • High degree of flexibility and ability to multitask in a busy environment with excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated leadership and collaboration experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience with a focus on Employee Relations.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • Data management skills and strong experience working with spreadsheets and databases.
  • Experience handling contentious matters with sensitivity, confidentiality and balance.
  • Strong knowledge of human rights, employment equity, inclusivity, and accessibility with and ability to understand and effectively communicate these principals.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is a requirement.
