Buy-Low Foods *is currently seeking an experienced *Meat Department Manager* for our store located in *Houston, BC*. This role is full-time and reports to the Store Manager.

We are looking for a strong leader who has a passion for fresh food and who can efficiently oversee the daily operations of the Meat Department in terms of staffing, sales, customer service, merchandising, and product quality.

*Provide supervision to department staff to ensure quality customer service

• Maximize sales and gross profit through effective and creative merchandising
• Maintain department inventory by placing product orders regularly while adhering to departmental budgets
• Handle customer inquiries, requests and complaints in a prompt, polite and effective manner
• Comply with the Company's established Health and Safety and Food Safety policies and ensure that staff members are also adhering to these policies
• Post-secondary Meat Cutting training / journeyman certification preferred
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation, policies and practices
• Flexibility to work a variety of hours which include days, evenings, weekends and stat holidays
