The Position:

We have an exciting opportunity to hire a
Reverse Logistics Specialist.

The Reverse Logistics Specialist is responsible for directing and monitor activities related to reverse logistics for SECA's Home Delivery business.

The overall goal of the position is to effectively provide solutions (problem solving) within the returns queue in order to protect SECA's assets, satisfy outstanding credits and claims and ensure the proper flow through inspection and classification of goods including the eventual return to stock or scrapping of returned goods.


The position is responsible for supporting the Home Delivery and SECA Retail teams through timely order processing management and problem resolutions.

This position is also responsible for supporting the Outbound Logistics Specialist through coordinated efforts, reporting and back-up coverage.

The position liaises directly with our; Retail Excellence team, 3PL and 4PL partners, Business Operations Centre, customers, inventory team and freight payments and will be based on-site at our 3PL warehouse


A little more about the role and responsibilities:

  • Daily execution of the reverse logistics processes for Home Delivery orders supporting a minimum target achievement for associated KPI's
  • Supporting daily problem resolution of last mile orders failing to meet ontime delivery. Rootcause investigation and systemic solutions brought into effect in a timely manner in order to avoid repeated failures
  • Key contributor to process improvements during QBR's with last mile carriers and 3PL
  • SME for Home Delivery Reverse Logistics within SECA and partner systems
  • Publishing essential KPI's at required reporting deadlines
  • Supporting the Outbound Logistics Specialist, as required
  • Adhoc reporting and various duties as required
  • Onsite resolution of returns at SECA's 3PL warehouse, as required

What you bring to the table:

  • Post-secondary education from a recognized college or university required
  • Minimum 3+ years of related reverse delivery experience in logistics
  • Membership in good standing with an accredited supply chain / logistics designation or similar is preferred
(P. Log., CITT / CCLP or similar)

  • Professional working knowledge of Last Mile Delivery networks and carriers within Canadian market
  • SAP/ERP competency required
  • Experience in relatable consumer market and SKU mix in Canada is an asset
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • MS Office including intermediate Excel skills is required
  • Data retrieval, manipulation, and analysis experience with demonstrable, verifiable output and report creation is required
  • Customer Service Skills
  • Consumer market familiarity in Canada
  • Advanced knowledge of Canadian Geography, Transportation and Claims processes and the LTL market
