    THE ROLE
    • The Aquatics Supervisor plays a vital role in delivering high-quality leisure programs and ensuring the safety of military members and their families. Our services are designed to support families facing challenges unique to military life and enhance their daily experiences such as pool or beach visits. We believe that when Armed Forces members prioritize their well-being and that of their families, they can perform better both personally and professionally. Whether families seek swimming lessons for their children, want to enhance their fitness levels, or aim to connect with others in a new environment, our services are here to assist.
    • The Aquatics environment offers excitement and fulfillment with the responsibility it entails. As an Aquatics Supervisor, you will oversee and manage all swimming pool activities to provide top-notch programs and services. You will be responsible for training staff, proposing new programs, and resolving issues. In your role, you will ensure a welcoming atmosphere and the safety of all pool guests as part of a team of 10 to 15 individuals. Leveraging your years of experience, you will mentor staff members and help them evolve into proficient lifeguards. The key to excelling in this position lies in possessing a genuinely friendly demeanor, an unwaveringly positive outlook, and a sincere commitment to assisting and safeguarding others. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to engage in lifeguard duties and swim instruction.

    QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
    • Education and Certifications
      • Acceptable mix of education, training, and experience will be assessed
      • Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification
      • Current National Lifeguard Service (NLS) certification
      • Current recognized Swim Instructor certification
      • HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development or HIGH FIVE Sport (to be completed by end of probation)
      • HIGH FIVE Healthy Minds for Healthy Children (to be completed by end of probation)
    • Experience
      • Planning, organizing, and conducting aquatic programs
      • Leading training sessions
      • Supervising employees
      • Implementing policies, procedures, and regulations
      • Supervising volunteers
      • Handling cash transactions
    • Competencies
      • Client focus, organizational knowledge, effective communication, innovation, teamwork, and leadership skills.
    • Skills and Abilities

    LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
    • English proficiency is essential, fluency in both English and French is advantageous
