RATE:
$70,944 to $85,002 annual


SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:


Reporting to the Director of Programming, the Program Manager will oversee the Crisis Respite and Extraordinary Needs Programs, which includes both unionized and non-unionized residential programs.

As needed, the role may be required to assist other managers in the oversight of other residential and community-based programs.

They will manage a multi-disciplinary team of staff and ensure the delivery of high-quality services, staff orientation and supervision, quality management and performance improvement.

The individual will be a role model in a culture that embodies the vision, mission and values of the organization.

As a change management leader, the Program Manager will thrive in an atmosphere of change and quality improvement.


A key responsibility will be to foster team building amongst staff, providing effective management within an ever-changing, multi-faceted environment ensuring a high level of individual and team development.

The Program Manager is involved in various interdepartmental and community committees to identify, develop and ensure the proper execution of a variety of multi-disciplinary services.

The Program Manager will work closely with the Senior Management Team and other colleagues to assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of new policies, procedures and initiatives.

HOURS OF WORK:

This is a full-time position working 35 hours per week. The Program Manager will take part in the Agency's on-call rotation.


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Graduate Degree in a healthrelated field is required.
  • Membership within a regulatory college considered an asset.
  • Minimum of five years of supervisory experience in the field of healthcare, mental health, substance use and/or supportive housing sectors.
  • Supervisory experience in a unionized environment considered a strong asset.
  • Three to five years of experience working in mental health, substance use or supportive housing sectors.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communications skills.
  • Working knowledge of the Mental Health Act.
  • Obvious passion for communitybased mental health and supportive housing services.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Has a valid G-Class driver's license and insurance, personal transportation
  • Ability to provide a current and satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check.

OTHER SKILLS:


  • Additional qualifications such as NVCI, ASIST, First Aid, suicide prevention and CPR considered an asset.
