    Description

    What you'll do:

    Reporting to the location Manager, the Assistant Food Store Manager will participate as a key member of the Parkway Co-op Ltd. organization dealing with the day-to-day operations of the Rossburn Food Store. They will provide leadership, direction, and support to ensure the location delivers trusted products and services to the local community.

  • Assist the location Manager in organizing, directing, and coordinating the operations of the Rossburn Food Store Location
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes a strong culture of engagement within the store.
  • Provide guidance in the areas of talent acquisition, training & development, performance management, discipline & termination, recognition, administration of policy and procedures and WCB claims.
  • Ensure standards of departments presentation and operations are met, including cleanliness and sanitation, food safety and food handling standards, inventory control, rotation, ordering and delivery of customer service.
  • Orientate and train team members and/or department managers when required.
  • Support local community initiatives and fundraising activities.
  • Other duties as required by the location Manager.

  • You have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in the retail industry.
  • Previous food and supervisory experience would be considered an asset.
