    MAJOR DUTIES:

    Responsible for food preparation and serving of meals in the cafeteria. Assist the Cafeteria Group Lead in maintaining the overall daily operations of the cafeteria.

    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

    · Clean and disinfect all high touch surfaces throughout the building daily until the cafeteria is fully operational again.

    · Daily preparation of food; sandwiches, salad bar, soup, catering orders, baking, etc.

    · Use and operate cafeteria appliances safely and as required

    · Serve hot entrée lunch to employees, customers and other guests.

    · Prepare items as requested by customer.

    · Refill/restock food items throughout the day; salad bar, sandwiches, beverage fridge, snack cart, etc.

    · Receive payment for food items purchased.

    · Receive and process in-coming catering orders. Work with the Manager to determine the best method of a catering (i.e. in house, outside vendor, etc.)

    · Wash dishes as required.

    · Store silverware as well as coffee/tea mugs and plates after they have been cleaned.

    · Conduct an inventory review weekly to determine the needs for the following week.

    · Order food and supplies weekly using the on-line order form. Unpack and store supplies.

    · Receive in-coming orders from supplier and check against the order made for accuracy.

    · Maintain coffee stations throughout the building; clean, refill and restock items.

    · Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the cafeteria.

    · Prepare and store food in line with the Ministry of Health guidelines and regulations.

    · Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.

    · Work in compliance with divisional health, safety and environmental procedures.

    · Refrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tagout methods.

    · Report any unsafe conditions, unsafe acts or defects in equipment.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education:

    Secondary school diploma. Completion of Food Safety Handling Course.

    Experience:

    Two to three years of experience in food services. A background in baking and/or catering is considered an asset.

    Experience with food preparation and presentation

    Knowledge of common safe food handling practices.

    Must have a valid driver's license and use of a vehicle preferred.

    Experience with Microsoft Office; Work, Excel, Outlook preferred.

    · Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct
