Frontline Traffic Services is having the busiest season yet and we are looking for Traffic Controllers (TCP) to join our team In this exciting role you would be responsible for managing traffic through construction sites in and around the Halifax/Dartmouth area.

We also provide transportation to and from work


We offer:

  • Competitive wages starting at $15.50/hour for those with no drivers license or not in a driver role.
- $18.00/hour for applicants who will be responsible for operating our company vehicles.

  • Drivers must have a valid Class 5 Drivers License, clean drivers abstract, and no "N" or "R" on your license.
  • Traffic Control Person (TCP) certification training.
  • Opportunity for advancement within a few months of working.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with placing signs, barricades and traffic cones in work areas.
  • Communicate with other TCP in the workplace to regulate traffic safely.
  • Responsible for the safe passage of vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists through work areas.
  • Communicate any incidents or hazards to the Site Supervisor.
  • Ensure a safe work environment in accordance with all policies and procedures.
  • Follow instructions given by Site Foreman.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:


  • Must be able to interpret both written and verbal instructions.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Great communication skills and willing to work in a team environment.
  • Able to work outside in all weather conditions, often working long days.
  • Comfortable working near vehicle traffic and heavy equipment.
  • Required ability to lift up to 30 lbs and standing for long periods of time.
  • Valid TCP Certification an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 License an asset.
