    NOTE: This is a temporaryposition ending on or before November, 2023 with the possibility of extension.Seasonal lay offs may occur. The successful candidate must have availabilityfor varied shifts throughout the school year.

    This position includes a variety of shifts flexing between thehours of 7am and 4pm including weekly movement/shifts between Patricia and Maincampus based on business needs. The successful candidate is expected torepresent NAIT in a positive, professional manner.     KeyResponsibilities:

  • Actively engagecustomers by offering support, suggesting items for purchase, answeringquestions, and resolving concerns in a friendly manner. The successfulcandidate will also work closely with Instructors at Patricia campus ensuringtheir needs and queries are taken care of.
  • Process sales and weborders in an efficient manner, modelling accuracy
  • Support the process ofreceiving, counting, tagging, and organizing inventory and customer orders
  • Prepare merchandise forsale and assist in the promotion of products and specials
  • Replenish floor stockand keep team informed of product sell-through observations
  • Support the picking and fulfillmentof web and curbside service
  • Liaise with Buyers atMain campus to ensure students and staff needs are met
  • Enact loss-preventionstrategies in order to support a secure shopping environment
  • Skills& Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently
  • Detail orientated and anagile learner with the ability to retain product knowledge and confidentlyassist customers
  • Excellent skills incustomer service, communication, and teamwork
  • The ability to learn andfollow established departmental guidelines and procedures
  • Flexibility withscheduling, including the ability to work increased hours during peak periodsand some evening and weekend shifts
  • Must be able to lift to50 lbs.
  • Qualifications:

  • Successful candidate must have a current drivers license and easy access to a vehicle as Patricia campusis difficult to get to on public transit.
  • Must have previousexperience in a retail or customer service environment where focus was onproviding an excellent customer experience
  • Point of Sale experienceis necessary to be successful in the role
  • Completion of grade 12 orhave an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Remuneration : $16, $22,485.18 annually (based on 20 hours per week), plus a comprehensivebenefits package. (Classification – Customer Service Rep l).

    Thisposition is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE)Collective Agreement.
