Position Description
Reporting to the ODSP Program Manager, The MSSI/Psychological Services Case Manager will be responsible for facilitating and streamlining the assessment and support process for individuals seeking assistance with the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) and Psychological Services.
This includes efficiently scheduling assessment appointments, maintaining accurate client files, coordinating transportation, aiding applicants in completing necessary documentation, and overseeing a centralized referral process.

Reports to:
The ODSP Program Manager
Responsibilities
Ø Schedule Arrange assessment appointments within 3 weeks from the date of the referral.
Ø Maintain client files, and case notes in the data management system by ensuring appropriate forms are completed and uploaded.
Ø Assist applicants in completing any required documentation/packages for ODSP and Psychological Services
Ø Assist in creating a centralized assessment referral process
Ø Schedule assessments with the Kenora Chiefs Advisory's referral person as well as coordinate appointment(s) with the client and assessment team accordingly
Ø Arrange meetings to debrief assessment results between client/family/assessment team
Ø Book meeting rooms with required equipment to ensure a suitable environment (private and free from distractions).
Ø Liaise and advocate with all internal/external resources/caseworkers such as Ontario Works and ODSP
Ø Provide the clerical, case management, and supervisory support, necessary for clients referred to psychological services and ODSP
Ø Ensure that all parties involved are culturally respectful to the individuals being supported.
Ø Provide a culturally safe environment for applicants/clients, utilizing cultural team and community elders as necessary
Ø Remit invoices for payment
Ø Uphold client confidentiality and privacy
Qualifications
Ø Degree or diploma in Social Services or related field and/or 3-5 years of related experience
Ø Detailed knowledge of Ontario Works Social Assistance Program and knowledge of other relevant government programs
Ø Ability to understand and interpret legislation.
Ø Investigative experience and problem-solving skills
Ø Ability to analyze and summarize information, write detailed, factual reports, perform arithmetical calculations and use relevant computer hardware and software.
Ø Good organizational skills
Ø Ability to exercise good judgement and use discretion, work independently and as a team member.
Ø Understanding of the Ojibway culture, language and First Nations Communities is a definite asset

Ø Current satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
Ø Obtain and maintain security clearance
