Utility Locator Technician - Trainee, you will be supported and encouraged to grow with every opportunity. This is an excellent opportunity to receive training and start a career in the field. This role can be both mentally and physically fulfilling but you will never face the same challenges twice

As our Utility Locator Technician, your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

Visiting various work sites (will be required to work in all weather conditions), as well as work in the office
Reading and interpreting site plans, construction print data and maps, to assist in location of subsurface utility facilities
Locating and marking subsurface utilities with a range of geophysical tools
Providing digital drawings and detailed reports to clients, as well as communicating important subsurface utility findings with clients.
Following all health and safety protocols

On your resume, we will be looking for the following:

Valid class 5 BC driver's license as required for use of company vehicle
Previous construction or trade experience is an asset
Experience in geophysical surveys, land surveying, or geomatics is an asset
Strong computer literacy, including expertise in AutoCAD, ArcGIS and GPS is an asset
