Casual position for Mondays only (4-hour shift)


Wage:
$20/hr


Overall Responsibility
The Teen Lounge Supervisor works independently to implement and supervise teen lounge programs, and provides feedback. This person will work together with volunteers and staff in delivering teen programs.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Implements activities, monitors, and supervises the Teen Lounge.
  • Connects with volunteers and staff to ensure programs are implemented.
  • Encouraged to provide feedback that will improve programs and operations.
  • Abides by relevant JCC rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Connects with teens to identify programs of interest.
  • Answers teen questions, concerns, and receives feedback; refers questions to manager where appropriate.
  • Works collaboratively with other departments as needed.
  • Maintains records on program activities and attendance.
  • May perform other duties as needed.
  • Maintains cleanliness of teen lounge.
  • Document incident/accident reports when needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge or interest in practices, methods, and techniques of developing and
implementing teen and youth programs.

  • Knowledge of best practices when working with youth and teens.
  • Enthusiastic about contributing ideas.
  • Strong customer service skills, able to foster positive and effective relationships.
  • Use English effectively to communicate in person, on the phone, and in writing.

Qualifications:


  • A combination or selection of interest, work experience and/or education in youth and
teen education and development.

  • Mobility to perform moderate physical work.
  • Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen.
  • Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio.
