Your opportunity:

BDO Canada is looking for a
Specialist, Organizational Development to join the Learning & Organizational Development team (HR).

While being able to work out of any of our offices across Canada, you will own the following responsibilities:


  • Assist with activities, tasks, and research that support the implementation of firmwide talent management programs, organizational development projects, interventions, and initiatives.
  • Recognize the impact of change on people when new programs and initiatives are under development and nearing launch. Identify and suggest ways in which communication, training and development programs can help drive stakeholder buyin and adoption of proposed changes.
  • Coordinate the collection of data and metrics for measurement plans that assess the impact of interventions and programs on talent experience, engagement, performance, and retention.
  • Assist with the implementation and administrative tasks to operationalize the capability framework and skill matrices and embed them across talent programs.
  • Assist with the implementation of talent HCM, as necessary.
  • Contribute to the development of our performance culture by building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders increasing one's own understanding of effective talent and performance development strategies.
  • Assist with and coordinate activities and tasks for other talent and career development initiatives, as may be needed based on the Firm's business priorities.

Your experience and education**- You have 2+ years of experience in Human Resources and/or Organizational Development

  • You have 1+ years of practical experience supporting talent and career development programs.
  • You have 1+ yeas of practical experience coordinating, tracking, and reporting on performance management programs measurement strategies.
  • You are familiar the modern talent management strategies, tactics, and tools.
  • You have experience in supporting measurement strategies for programs of intermediate levels of complexity and scope.
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • You have excellent ability to build relationships and maintain trust with peers and business stakeholders.
  • You have strong critical and analytical thinking skills.
  • You have strong client serviceorientation skills.
  • You have a learning mindset
