Each role is, for us, essential and today we are looking for a: Health and Safety Coordinator

Your role

Under the direction of the HR Manager (Lachine Plant), the Health and Safety Coordinator fosters a culture of health and safety while also managing the day-to-day H&S tasks for the plant.

Your responsabilities

Administer and maintain the H&S programs (

CSST:
follow-up, protest, etc.)

Foster a culture of health and safety
Submit different improvements to minimize the number of accidents
Lead the Health and Safety Committee
Continuously improve all procedures and rules concerning H&S.
Investigate whenever accidents occur in the workplace
Create videos and training material
Audit the work environment

Who are we looking for?

Training in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, H&S management or any other related field.

3-5 year experience in a similar role (Manufacturing / food industry)

Experience in a unionized environment

MS Office

Must have an excellent capacity with reading and writing French

Communication and interpersonal qualities

Autonomy and must be able to work under minimum supervision

Team work, organisation, initiative, judgement and discretion
