    Description
    Transforming the Future with Convergence of Simulation and Data
    Design Systems - Application Engineer - PSP
    Our client in Windsor, ON is looking for a Design Systems - Application Engineer - PSP. This is a contract position.
    Coordinates packaging studies with each vehicle application to ensure all clearance requirements are met. Leads advanced vehicle adaptation designs studies and freezes.
    Updates and coordinates approvals of International Product Spec releases.
    Owns the Transmission Technical Specifications (TTS) and communicates application specific requirements to the team (i.e. max torque, NVH, FE, tire size, FDR selection, mass, etc.).
    Coordinates external design changes that require platform approval.

    Coordination of application specific designs (torque converter, dampers, vents, LV & HV wire connections, bracket attachments, trans oil cooling, PIM and e-motor integration, etc) including controls & calibration strategies.

    Represents chief organization on vehicle assembly plant requirements & events (i.e. supports pilot builds, EOL test, VIN marking, build issues, etc.). Development Manager leads vehicle assembly issues. Leads Build Readiness tasks (instrumentation plan, dyno support).
    Coordinates COE assessments of bulletins and AT engineering response to bulletins.
    Bachelor's of science degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
    Minimum 2 years of engineering experience in automotive transmission and/or driveline design, releasing, development, validation, calibration, manufacturing, etc.
    Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outllook, etc.).

    Occasional driving (2x per month) to meetings in the Detroit area, as well as, regular attendance to the office (currently 1x per week).

    Previous experience in automotive or related industry.
