Rights Analyst, Financial & Data Management (12 Month Contract)

Reporting to the Director, Rights Management & Analysis, Global Media the Rights Analyst will support the Acquisitions, Scheduling, and Production teams with tracking contractual rights and obligations.

This Rights Analyst role would be a 12 month contract covering a maternity leave.

What You'll Be Doing

Program and metadata entry into broadcast software (Broadview) for linear, FAST, & Global feeds
Invoice processing & Purchase Order creation in finance software (NetSuite)
Ensuring contractual obligations re: delivery of all assets are met
Assisting in cash flow management for acquired content linear, FAST & Output Deals
Milestone tracking, invoice processing, liaison between Rights Management and Finance departments
Assist with Administration of Output Deals (Smithsonian, BBC, etc.)
Ensuring tracking documents are correct against Deal Memos
Circulating Deal Memos for signature
C#/CAVCO# management
Monthly reconciliation of scheduling error reports
Broadcast Confirmation and Delivery Confirmation Letters
Distributing Withholding Tax Certificates as needed
On Demand Rights review and assignment
New Station Setup in broadcast software (Broadview)
Content renewals administration for inhouse & commissioned programs
General support and coverage within the Rights Management & Analysis Department

What You'll Bring

Background in media and broadcasting
Experience in broadcast television/OTT/AVOD/SVOD and a love of the broadcast industry
Strong attention to detail and an affinity for tracking and organizing data is critical
Working knowledge of data entry into content management systems
Experience with scheduling software is an asset (such as Broadview, S4M)
Solid knowledge of Excel, Google Workspace
Proven ability to engage, collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work autonomously and high degree of selfdirection on several deadlines at once
Ability to adapt to new processes and platform requirements and provide suggestions for workflow refinement
Knowledge of NetSuite an asset
An understanding of general financial and accounting principles an asset
