Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Officer, Community Relation, the assistant will have the following tasks:
- Support the development of educational tools and programs
- Research a selection of Inuit cultural objects in the Museum's collection database and educational collection.
- Conduct visual research, credit research and right clearance
- Cocreate educational materials with various stakeholders
Employment Conditions
- Temporary summer student employment; 35 hours per week
- Salary of $19 per hour
- Employment lasting 14 weeks.
Qualifications and Profile Required
- Interest in museum research and education
- Understanding of Indigenous cultures, particularly Inuit
- Experience in Indigenous environments is an asset
- Interest in approaches to decolonization
- Interest for school and/or community audiences
- Good sense of popularization and synthesisDeadline to apply: May 20, 2024
