Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Officer, Community Relation, the assistant will have the following tasks:

  • Support the development of educational tools and programs
  • Research a selection of Inuit cultural objects in the Museum's collection database and educational collection.
  • Conduct visual research, credit research and right clearance
  • Cocreate educational materials with various stakeholders

Employment Conditions

  • Temporary summer student employment; 35 hours per week
  • Salary of $19 per hour
  • Employment lasting 14 weeks.

Qualifications and Profile Required

  • Interest in museum research and education
  • Understanding of Indigenous cultures, particularly Inuit
  • Experience in Indigenous environments is an asset
  • Interest in approaches to decolonization
  • Interest for school and/or community audiences
  • Good sense of popularization and synthesisDeadline to apply: May 20, 2024
