Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, supporting children with diverse needs, and collaborating with families to promote a positive educational experience. Bilingual skills in English and French are highly valued to enhance communication with a diverse student body. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement creative, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning.
- Support children's social-emotional development through positive guidance and effective communication.
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and specialists to support children with special needs or disabilities.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and behavioral observations.
- Utilize computer skills for documentation, communication, and educational activities.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently, demonstrating strong organizational skills and time management.
- Lead by example to promote leadership qualities among assistant staff or interns when applicable.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and classroom activities in both English and French if bilingual skills are possessed.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with young children in early childhood education settings is preferred.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is advantageous.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable to support diverse learners.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childcare practices, early childhood development, and teaching methodologies.
- Strong communication skills, including writing skills for documentation and parent interactions.
- Proficiency in computer operation for educational tools, record keeping, and communication platforms.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
