Position Description:


This position will be located at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton (Charlton Campus
) - Paymaster is Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS)

Unit Summary
The Hamilton Regional Laboratory Medicine Program (HRLMP) is a collaborative program funded and operated
jointly by Hamilton Health Sciences and St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton. The Program is committed to change and
innovation, through education, service and research, to bring the highest quality science into healthcare for the benefit
Laboratory Medicine Program (HRLMP) receives contracts for organizational and analytical support for pharmaceutical
industry funded studies, from diagnostic companies for analyses and a specialized referral Laboratory for research
contracts.


Position Summary
Responsible to the Director of Laboratory Operations, the Laboratory Research Coordinator will act in accordance with
the mission, vision, values and goals of the Hamilton Regional Laboratory Medicine Program (HRLMP) and the Hamilton
Health Sciences and St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton. Responsible for the coordination, planning, implementation, SOP
creation and billing for research initiatives across all sites within the HRLMP. Provide technical and scientific support to the
staff and study contacts. Will act as a resource/content expert to Laboratory staff and Research Coordinators


Schedule Work Hours
37.5 hours per week


Qualifications

  • Registered with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists (required)
  • Baccalaureate of Science Degree (preferred)
  • Recent & relevant experience in Laboratory Medicine
  • Recent & relevant experience in IQMH QMS
