SNC-Lavalin's Mining & Metallurgical team in Canada is made up of more than 400 employees who work on large-scale projects to support mining sustainability, pit-to-port opportunities, metallurgical plant engineering, or mine closure and capabilities in the study, design, and construction of mining projects across a wide range of mining and processing methods and commodities.

The person in this position will work closely with all engineering disciplines and IT groups to coordinate deployment of our engineering design packages on various projects and act as systems administrator for software suites from Hexagon (Smart Plant) Auto plant (Plant 3D, Revit) or AVEVA (E3D).

Toronto, ON.

Your role within the team:


  • Managing a multirole Software specialists' team responsible for setting up, customizing and utilization of Design software tools for aa large number of varied M&M projects in accordance with the client's requirements.
  • Coordinate with key stakeholder interfaces which will include all departments within the client organization as well as other SNCL departments.
  • Develop, lead, and assist project teams in BIM, Smart Plant, E3D projects set up and ensure that the implementation of Revit aligns with Company CAD-BIM strategy and links appropriately with the wider business.
  • Develop and deliver structured 3D models for projects.

  • Expertise in preparation of 3D BIM models and construction documents using Plant 3D, Revit Architecture, Revit Structure. BIM experience with 3D rendering and visualization, BOQ & cost estimation, analysis and simulations, and specification linking etc.
  • Knowledge on Revit HVAC, plumbing systems, based on survey data, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data is added advantage.
  • Structural Design, AVEVA Electrical and Instrumentation.
