Summary:

As part of the Regional Leadership team, form working relationships with key business stakeholders to perform a highly visible, collaborative technology leadership role, ensuring that the Griffith Foods business enjoys the highest levels of technology enablement and support as the region pursues significant profitable business growth.


As a member of the Global IT team, contribute to the iterative development of the global IT strategy, ensuring that regional specific requirements are heard and addressed.


Focus will be in the following areas:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Form excellent working relationships with the regional Leadership Team to develop a very strong understanding of the regional business, its objectives, drivers, growth plans, opportunities, and threats.
  • Define a regional IT plan (incorporating operations, support, capital investment, etc.) in support of anticipated business growth and to ensure that business benefits are realized.
  • Direct and oversee regional IT operations to maximize systems availability and ensure that customer service excellence is achieved. Establish the priorities and focus for IT effort.
  • Lead and develop people which is a core component of Griffith's Triple Bottom Line.
  • Motivate the team
  • Perform People Management responsibilities (hiring, promoting, addressing employee issues)
  • Support
Griffith's DIB&E strategy

  • Build strong working relationships with internal team members and external partners to elicit consistently strong performance, developing reliable and responsive partnerships that add tangible value to IT activity.
  • Enable and embed a regional knowledge management culture through the provision of appropriate technology and business processes enablement.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems; Master's preferred.
  • Skilled international IT Director with previous experience of having performed a similar regional role in a highgrowth global business with a distributed supply chain and customer base.
  • Prior experience of having worked in food manufacturing/processing, with a sophisticated understanding of complex supply chain management, business process engineering and operations research is preferred.
  • Extensive and varied project and program definition and delivery experience to include a key role in at least one high value, multisite ERP implementation.
  • Experience of having previously fulfilled a broad IT management remit, including operations, technical support and infrastructure, development, and project delivery.
  • Extensive experience of managing internal and external resources to deliver complex, innovative business solutions and reliable service provision.
  • Excellent communication skills with a capacity to present, discuss and explain issues coherently and logically both in writing and verbally.
  • Prior exposure to shared service structures will be advantageous.
  • Fluent in English, working knowledge of Spanish will be advantageous.
  • Must be able to travel 25%.
