    About this opportunity:

    Cenovus' Finance and Risk Department is recruiting for an Accounting Administrator. In accordance with company policies and procedures, the premise of this role is to ensure timely processing of invoices, processing of employee expense reports, and completing monthly corporate reconciliations.

    What you'll do:

  • Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes, including receiving, verifying, and accurately processing invoices.
  • Effectively triage incoming invoices, ensuring timely categorization and processing.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with vendors to reconcile statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Processing of employee expense reports, guaranteeing adherence to company policies and guidelines.
  • Validate expense documentation, receipts, and approvals for accuracy and compliance.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employees, addressing inquiries and resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintain methodical and up-to-date records of payable transactions, expenses, and invoices.
  • Facilitate key tasks in the month-end financial closing process related to payables and expenses.
  • Contribute proactively to initiatives aimed at process enhancement and efficiency improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory shifts, and best practices in the field.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics related to accounts payable and expense management.
  • Assist in both internal and external audit processes, providing required documentation and explanations.
  • Conduct thorough reconciliation of AP-related General Ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy.
  • Who you are:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Diploma in Business Administration.
  • Functional experience with SAP and Concur.
  • Well-honed organizational skills – with an ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
