This role is Hybrid (Office/home and client site) Halifax.

Position Summary


Thales is looking to hire a
Strategic Liaison and Integrated Solutions Manager who will be the Thales Liaison for all Thales activities in the Maritimes.

The role will help to develop and maintain the coastal relationships with Industry, Department of National Defence (DND), Fleet Maintenance Facility (FMF) and the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN).

The role will demand an individual with highly developed communication and influencing skills and an equal depth of domain experience.

The ability to interface with partners and customers will be key to the success of the Strategic Liaison and Integrated Solutions Manager.


Key Areas of Responsibility
The Strategic Liaison and Integrated Solutions Manager will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Thales footprint in Halifax;
  • Working with the Program Manager and Business to best align operations with project and business needs;
  • Establishing relationships with Industry in Halifax;
  • Supporting an east coast Strategic Plan;
  • Liaising with East Coast/Atlantic Naval operations and operational authorities;
  • Supporting the Project teams in discussions with DND and the FMF;
  • Interfacing with the FMF to develop a good working relationship;
  • Supporting Communications in liaison with local media;
  • Effectively communicating with all levels of staff and customers via meetings, written communications and oneonone communication.
  • Interacting and working with management/employees to promote teamwork.
Other duties may be assigned from time to time.


Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelor Degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Business or Relevant proven experience
  • Possess demonstrated experience in the defence sector for at least 12 years.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and analytical abilities
  • A proven ability to lead and influence stakeholders at all levels within the organization.
  • A positive and energized attitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience across the In-Service Support phases of a project lifecycle;
  • Experience working in a complex, multidisciplinary, multisite organization;
  • Experience working with the Fleet Maintenance Facilities on either coast;
  • Naval background desirable but not essential.

Regulatory Compliance Requirements:


  • Will require SECRET/ NATO Security Clearance._

Special Position Requirements

  • Type of Role: _Hybrid (Home/Office) flexibility to work from home; but, expected to be in office as required to support the business.
  • Schedule: _40 hours per week
  • Physical Environment: _Office environment
  • Travel: _As required primarily within Canada

This position requires direct or indirect access to hardware, software or technical information controlled under the Canadian Export Control List, the Canadian Controlled Goods Program, the Canadian Industrial Security Program, the US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the US Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

All applicants must be eligible or able to obtain authorization for such access including eligibility to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and able to obtain a Canadian NATO Secret clearance.
