Duties:


Student Recruitment (on and off campus)

  • This position will travel to events in and out of province to promote the FNUniv and recruit students to FNUniv through a broad range of activities including inschool presentations, attending education and career fairs, Saskatchewan University and Technical Institute Liaison (SUTIL) events, school/community events, advising session with students and parents, counsellor workshops and other prospective student events.
  • Participate in oncampus recruitment activities.
  • Prepare and maintain extensive recruitment records of external and prospective student contacts. This includes updating departmental contact databases.
  • Conduct research on recruitment trends and best practices.
  • Provides reports on various recruitment initiatives.

Advising, Communication & Relationship Building

  • Drafts correspondence (electronic and paper) for prospective students
  • Assists in the development of recruitment materials for FNUniv and the University of Regina. This would include print publications, online communications, presentations, information packages, etc.
  • Conduct on campus advising appointments with students.
  • Assist in the development of relationships with key stakeholders within and outside the University.

Assisting with on campus recruitment and Indigenous related campus events

  • This position will assist with community members providing services to Aboriginal students with on campus events such as campus tours, conferences and school group tours.
  • This individual will work with the tatawaw Students Centre, Indigenous Career Centre and the First Nations University of Canada to recruit Indigenous students on to campus.

Qualifications:


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of First Nations culture, values, and traditions is preferable.
