Responsibilities:

Tandoori Cooking:


  • Expertly operate and manage the tandoor, ensuring the proper temperature and techniques for various dishes.
  • Prepare a diverse range of tandoori items such as naan, kebabs, tikka, and other traditional Indian bread and meats.
  • Monitor and adjust cooking times and temperatures to achieve optimal results.

Menu Development:


  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and enhance the tandoori section of the menu.
  • Introduce innovative and authentic tandoori dishes, keeping uptodate with culinary trends and customer preferences.

Quality Control:


  • Ensure all tandoori dishes meet the established quality standards for taste, texture, and presentation.
  • Maintain consistency in portion sizes and presentation across all tandoori offerings.

Kitchen Collaboration:


  • Work closely with other kitchen staff to coordinate the timing of tandoori dishes with other menu items.
  • Collaborate with Sous Chefs and Kitchen Assistants to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.

Hygiene and Safety:


  • Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation standards, including proper food handling and storage.
  • Maintain a clean and organized tandoor station, promptly addressing any maintenance or cleanliness issues.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience as a Tandoori Chef or in a similar role within a reputable restaurant.
  • Indepth knowledge of tandoor cooking techniques, spices, and traditional Indian recipes.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a highpressure kitchen environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering highquality dishes.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.

Salary:
From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week


Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
